With a proven track record of renovating period properties for profit and holiday cottage success, owner Carl Scott purchased the site in 2009. At the time it consisted of a neglected farmhouse and barns, set in 2 acres on the A1120 Suffolk Tourist route.
Eighteen months were then spent renovating the Farmhouse and Granary Barn whilst applying for, and gaining, planning permission for 5 further barns to satisfy the needs identified during research.
To cement the owner`s business plan he commissioned East of England Tourism to produce a business survey in 2009, based on a national economic model known as the Cambridge Model. The full report is available on request.
