So, the government have let us loose again with guidance on how to proceed safely.
And we at Taylor Walsh want to highlight the word SAFELY, as we are very mindful that we are still dealing with a life threatening virus, and we want to make sure that we are doing everything possible to ensure we don't play any part in allowing this to affect any of our clients or indeed ourselves and families.
We kindly ask you to ensure adherence to the guidelines issued by the government 'click here': https://www.gov.uk/guidance/government-advice-on-home-moving-during-the-coronavirus-covid-19-outbreak
And along with government guidelines, we have our own rules that we have put in place when visiting any property:
Two people viewing at a time inside the property maximum.
Viewers must turn up with masks and gloves, however hand sanitizer will be provided at the entrance to a property if gloves are not worn.
Home owner to open all doors and switch on all lights prior to us arriving.
No contact policy in the property including door handles.
Social distance at ALL times essential.
No sellers to be inside the property at the time of a viewing.
Viewers must confirm they are well with no covid symptoms. Property owners must confirm the same and that they have had no visitors showing any symptoms in the property recently.
All of the above is key in order for us to conduct viewings/market appraisals, and going forward until advised otherwise these procedures must be abided by.
No paper brochures will be used at the moment, but will be emailed to you as a pdf along with the video tour if required.
For every property we market going forward, we will be creating walk through video tours, which will be forwarded to any prospective purchaser or tenant before we view. If after viewing the walk-through tour the client still wants to view, we can then arrange the visit in person.
In order to introduce these further safety measures and monitor them, we will initially be carrying out viewings only for buyers and tenants that can actually proceed right now or are close to being in that position.
Office visitors will only be seen with an appointment confirmed prior. Our reception will remain closed to avoid any unnecessary contact, reducing the risk to our colleagues and clients. For appointments that are confirmed we have a dedicated meeting room allowing social distancing and no interruptions, again ensuring your safety at all times.
Our 24 hour phone lines are still very much active and most staff are starting to man the offices again as of Monday 18th May, once our offices have been deep cleaned and all PPE is in place and new training has been completed.
If you are thinking of moving home and would like to discuss your options, or arrange a valuation to understand the best way to market your home to maximise the value, please do give us a call or email to arrange this.
If you are worried about having anyone visit your home, this is no problem at all, we completely understand, and we can offer video call meetings and market appraisals to ensure you're not missing out on moving forward.
Most importantly we want everyone to stay safe at all times and do what's best for you personally. We have an opportunity to kick start the market again, and it is important that we don't rush it or make any mistakes.
Yours and our safety is our main priority today, and it will be tomorrow too.
